I keep hearing mixed opinions about NEET prep. Many toppers say NCERT is enough for Biology, while some coaching teachers suggest adding extra books like Trueman and MTG. I’ve already completed NCERT once but I’m not confident about whether it’s sufficient for high-level MCQs. Those who have cleared or are seriously preparing for NEET – can you share your personal experience? Should I stick to NCERT only or go beyond it?

Yes, NCERT is more than enough for NEET Biology. In fact, almost 85–90% of the Biology questions in NEET are directly from NCERT lines, sometimes word-to-word. What you should do is read NCERT multiple times, highlight important lines, and make short notes for last-minute revision. If you have extra time, you can practice questions from MTG or previous years, but don’t overload yourself with too many books. Focus on NCERT and revise it again and again — that’s what most toppers recommend.
